PS & Daughters is a Philadelphia-based luxury interior architecture and design studio built on discovery, intuition, and an obsessive attention to detail.

Like anthropologists, we immerse ourselves in how you live, work, move, and gather—translating those rhythms into a seamless, highly bespoke design.

Balancing artistic vision with deep technical expertise in construction, procurement, and financial strategy, we guide every decision with aesthetic, functional, and monetary value in mind.

The result? Spaces that feel as if they’ve evolved naturally over time—collected, not decorated; destined, not designed.

Even our name PS & Daughters reflects this spirit—a nod to our founder’s initials and a deliberate reimagining of the traditional “& Sons” legacy, celebrating a new era of female creativity and leadership.

Meet Phoebe

Founder & Principal Designer

“Our job isn’t to stamp a look onto a space—it’s to uncover what feels inevitable.”

Phoebe Schuh approaches design with an artist’s eye and an anthropologist’s curiosity. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she has built a reputation for creating spaces that feel both inevitable and deeply personal—layered with history, character, and a sense of belonging.

Raised by a real estate-obsessed father and an art historian mother, she spent childhood summers painting in Siena, Italy—an early immersion in architecture, color, and composition. She studied Anthropology and Fine Art, refining her understanding of how people live and move through space, later sharpening her skills as an archaeological illustrator in Belize.

After earning an MFA in Painting, she pursued a career in interior design—training at FIDM in Los Angeles and working with Kathryn M. Ireland, where she led multi-million-dollar projects and helped develop Ireland’s celebrated textile collections. She later specialized in luxury residential and multifamily design at Finnish architecture firm Sanna Pollanen, crafting high-end interiors and custom material palettes.

In 2011, she returned home to establish PS & Daughters. Today, alongside her husband, Matthew, she leads a team dedicated to creating timeless, highly tailored spaces with a seamless balance of history and modernity.

She lives in Wayne, PA, with Matthew, their two children, Paloma and Oscar, and their dogs, Julius and Turkey.
